Bennet Fellows Jill Osier and Erica Plouffe Lazure share their recent work

Join us for a reading and discussion with Jill Osier, 2014-2015 Bennett Fellow at Phillips Exeter Academy and PEA English Instructor and former Bennett Fellow Erica Plouffe Lazure. Osier is a poet and Lazure writes short fiction and is working on a novel.

Jill Osier, B.A., Luther College;  M.F.A., University of Alaska Fairbanks; Bennett Fellow.  Jill's work has been featured in Crazyhorse, Granta, The Georgia Review, The Gettysburg Review, Green Mountains Review, Poetry, The Southern Review, Subtropics, Versal, and Zyzzyva.  Her poems also appear in the chapbooks Bedful of Nebraskas and Should Our Undoing Come Down Upon Us White, winner of the 2013 Frost Place Chapbook Competition.  Support for her work includes awards from the Rasmuson Foundation, the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing, and the National Endowment for the Arts.  During her fellowship year, Jill will be working on completing a volume of poems.

Erica Plouffe Lazure is a graduate of the Bennington Writing Seminars, East Carolina University’s MA in creative writing, and UMass-Amherst. She lives and teaches in Exeter, New Hampshire. Her fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern #29, Flash: the International Short-Short Story Magazine, Greensboro Review, Meridian, Litro, American Short Fiction, Microliterature, Monkeybicycle, Booth Literary Journal, and elsewhere. A short collection of her flash fiction is forthcoming in an anthology, Turn, Turn Turn, by ELJ Publications, and she is hard at work on a novel.
